What is Voca?
Voca is an English-learning platform built for Iraqi and Arabic-speaking learners. You combine live 1-on-1 sessions with a certified tutor and short daily practice bites — vocabulary cards, mini exercises, and missions that keep your streak alive between sessions.
How much does it cost?
We have a free trial that includes one full session and unlimited access to the practice content. Paid plans start at a level that's intentionally below the local market for private tutoring and unlock more sessions per month, longer bookings, and personalized exercises.
How do the live sessions work?
You pick a slot from a tutor's calendar that fits your timezone, join over a built-in video room when the slot starts, and afterwards your tutor rates 7 skill dimensions of your speaking. Your XP, level, and personalized practice update automatically from that rating.
Can I sign in with Google?
Yes. The Google button on the sign-in and sign-up pages signs you in with your Google account in one click. If you've never used Voca before, the click also creates your account.
What if I forget my password?
Click 'Forgot password' on the sign-in page, type your email, and we'll send a 6-digit code to your inbox. Enter it on the next screen and pick a new password.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Voca runs entirely in your browser. Live sessions use WebRTC video right in the page — no Zoom, no Skype, no app download.
Which devices are supported?
Any modern browser on desktop, laptop, tablet, or phone. For live sessions a stable connection and a microphone are the only hard requirements. A webcam is recommended but not required.
How is my data protected?
Your account is protected by industry-standard password hashing (PBKDF2) and short-lived JWT tokens. Email codes expire in 10 minutes. We never share your data with third parties for marketing.
